Terms & Conditions — Upsleeve Movers & Packers UAE

Applies to all services delivered by Upsleeve Movers & Packers, including moving, packing, storage, and associated service requests initiated through Upsleeve.ae, WhatsApp, phone, email, or third-party listings.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Using our website or booking a service means you accept all conditions stated here.
If you disagree, do not book or request service.

2. Quotes & Pricing

1. All quotations are based on the information provided by the customer.
   Under-reported volume, furniture, access difficulty, additional labour requirements, or last-minute changes will adjust the price.
   
2. Quotes are valid for 15 days from issue unless otherwise written.
   
3. Storage quotations may be billed monthly, quarterly or annually.
   
4. Additional charges apply for:
   
   • Extra items not listed or surveyed
     
   • Additional floors without lift access
     
   • Urgent or same-day changes in address/timing
     
   • Re-packing due to improper customer packing (Non Packing Items)
     
   • Disposal or waste removal
     

Pricing is transparent and shared before execution.

3. Bookings, Cancellations & Rescheduling

1. A booking is considered confirmed when the customer approves the quotation in writing.
   
2. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled move are chargeable at 50% of the job value.
   
3. Rescheduling depends on crew and truck availability.
   
4. If the customer is unreachable on the scheduled date or the location is inaccessible, service will be considered cancelled under clause (2).
   

4. Services Included & Excluded

Included (unless written otherwise):

• Packing material for standard household/office items
  
• Dismantling & re-assembly of basic furniture
  
• Loading, transport, and unloading
  
• Placement of boxes and furniture in labelled rooms
  
• Standard wrapping for electronics, decor & kitchenware
  

Not Included unless requested and quoted:

• Drilling, electrical/AC/chandelier removal or installation
  
• Fixing appliances requiring technical fitting
  
• Special crating for high-value art or antiques
  
• Cleaning, painting, or waste removal
  
• Handling of hazardous or restricted items
  

Anything outside the written scope is considered additional.

5. Storage Terms

1. Inventory will be logged before storage.
   
2. Access to storage requires a scheduled notice with identification.
   
3. Monthly payment delay beyond 10 days may lead to access restriction.
   
4. Items with unpaid dues beyond 45 days may be liquidated to recover outstanding storage and handling fees.
   

6. Damage Liability

1. Upsleeve handles items with care, but risk remains inherent in movement.
   
2. Liability applies only to items packed exclusively by Upsleeve using its materials.
   
3. Pre-existing cracks, loose joints, termite-weakened wood, pressboard items (e.g., IKEA), and items declared “fragile without box-protection” are excluded.
   
4. In case of proven damage caused by crew negligence, repair or compensation may be offered up to the declared item value or job value, whichever is lower.
   
5. No liability applies for:
   
   • Items not declared before packing
     
   • Jewellery, cash, or confidential documents
     
   • Water/moisture-sensitive items placed in storage without disclosure
     

7. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

• Ensure building permits, lift access & parking are arranged where required
  
• Be present during packing and final inspection
  
• Declare fragile/valuable items before handling
  
• Make payment as per the terms to avoid delays or service suspension
  

No responsibility is accepted for missing items if supervision is absent.

8. Payment Terms

• Invoices are payable on job completion unless otherwise agreed
  
• Late payments incur AED 25/day or 5% monthly (whichever is higher)
  
• Storage renewals must be paid before expiration
  
• Non-payment may lead to legal recovery under UAE civil law
  

9. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on upsleeve.ae text, media, layout, and branding belong to Upsleeve.
Copying content, duplicating designs or impersonating the business is prohibited.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disagreement will first be reviewed internally by management.
If unresolved, the case may proceed under UAE Civil Procedures Law.

11. Amendments

Upsleeve may update these conditions anytime. Updated versions take effect once published on this page.
